Any parent will have panicked endlessly if their child goes missing. These parents from Michigan were lucky though that they have a dog which was absolutely a big help. Without the dog, they would have lost their kid forever.
Princeton Peake, a two-year-old toddler from Michigan, had gone out from their home in Paw Paw, Michigan. He was very fortunate that the policemen were able to bring him back home after many hours of being missing. His parents freaked out the moment they found out he is missing.
According to Myhia Perez, the toddler’s mother, when she woke up that Wednesday morning, she found out that Princeton is not in the bedroom. She immediately went to search for him in the house when she saw the front door open. She then woke up Princeton’s dad, Dominic. They were both already panicking.
The Peake’s residence is enclosed by a large field, woods, and wetlands. It is dangerous for such a young person to be out in an area as such. Especially that they were not sure since when has their son been missing. Myhia and Domonic almost died just thinking that something terrible might have happened to their son.
The police authorities who handled the investigation discovered the kid in a secluded area more than one and a half kilometers away from the Peake’s home. They followed the footsteps of the family’s pet dog, Apollo. The authorities are positive that Apollo followed Princeton when he saw the latter going outside the house.
Princeton’s parents are very thankful that their smart dog helped and saved their precious child. They promised to provide more security to the household as proven by their newly installed door locks. Of course, they made sure that Princeton can no longer unlock the door.
