A little puppy was found on the side of the road by a woman named Annabelle Camp. She called the puppy Mason and decided to bring him home – even though she knew that she would not be able to keep him.
What she didn’t know, at the time, is this little puppy will end up saving someone important to her.
She knew her grandmother would not allow it, so she agreed to take Mason to The Humane Society so a family can foster him. When there was no foster family to take Mason in, he stayed in a boarding facility for a time. Unfortunately, Mason got sick and hospitalized.
Annabelle heard the bad news and begged her grandmother to have Mason back into their house. And though her grandmother eventually agreed, she was still not quite warm to the idea of letting a dog into their home.
After spending some time in Annabelle’s home and company, Mason eventually healed and improved. Annabelle enjoyed every minute with the pup.
On one Monday night, Mason woke Annabelle up by barking relentlessly in her face. She knew that something is wrong because Mason loves his sleep. Mason jumped up and down and gave Annabelle a look as if he wants her to follow him. Thankfully, she did understand him, and so she followed Mason.
Anabelle said that Mason knew that he wasn’t allowed to enter her grandmother’s bedroom, but when she saw him hurriedly ran into the room, she knew that this is a big deal. By the time they got to the grandmother, she was unconscious; and it was due to a heart complication. Annabelle saw Mason standing at the side of her grandmother, whining and screaming for help.
Mason did a very outstanding job because Annabelle was able to start her grandmother’s heart on time. Because of him, they were able to avoid the worst.
As soon as the grandmother recovered, she began petting him whenever she sees him, that’s more than what grandma did for Mason before; she was thankful that Mason saved her life.
You can see how proud Annabelle is with Mason on a post she made in a Page. Dogs have unconditional love for us, and even when we lack the affection, they would still offer us that selfless love we all need.
