Located just south of Italy, Malta is an island nation in the Mediterranean with amazing sunny weather almost all year-round. The great weather and breathtaking views make this one of the top destinations among Europeans and also the world. Besides the fantastic beaches and picturesque coastline they have, they also have limestone cliffs where you can jump off it and swim in the turquoise water.
Carmelo Abela, together with his dog, frequents a beautiful spot in the island called St. Peter’s Pool. The pool is actually a pocket of seawater surrounded by limestone cliffs with a fantastic view of the Mediterranean Ocean.
At first, Carmelo would look like a regular person who just loves to take his dog for a swim. However, Carmelo’s dog is no ordinary dog.
Carmelo’s pet Jack Russel, Titti, is not your ordinary dog. He’s a dog that loves to go diving with his owner. They would jump off the edge of the limestone that’s more or less twenty feet high from the water.
Carmelo and Titti would go to St. Peter’s Pool everyday. Titti loves diving so much that she would start getting excited when they approach the local diving spot. She wouldn’t even wait for Carmelo to change in his swimming attire and would run straight towards the edge of the limestone and dive into the water.
When Carmelo’s ready, Titti would wait for him to jump into the water. Titti and her dad would put on a diving show for everyone watching, and they love the attention as much as they love doing the activity. They would even perform extraordinary diving stunts for the people watching around them.
It wasn’t long after tourists started noticing the diving duo. They would take pictures of them diving in the pool and post it on social media. After that, Titti began to gain followers and tourists in Malta would go to St. Peter’s Pool just to take pictures with the diving dog.
The bond between Carmelo and Titti is amazing. Titti completely trusts her dad and wouldn’t dive with anyone else in the ocean. Here’s an incredible video of Carmelo and Titti diving in St. Peter’s Pool.
