In a world of full of royalties, there is some kind of magnet that pulls us to know every single detail about the royal family, especially the Queen. The fame of Queen Elizabeth II have reached not only America or Britain but also on the international scale. But what makes Queen Elizabeth II widely popular is the fact that she obviously adores dogs.
Having a handful of royal corgis herself, Queen Elizabeth II has been genuinely kind to any dog she meets. Regardless of what breed they may be, Her Majesty is always delighted to be with canines whenever and wherever she goes, even to the extent of official engagements.
Back in 1952, Her Majesty had an adorable and rather unusual moment with a dog which is not among the royal pets. It was the time when the queen and Prince Phillip went on an official visit to the Canadian Governor General, Vincent Massey.
When the royalties arrived, it turned out that it was not only the governor who welcomed them but also his dog. Given that the Queen has a soft spot for pups, she let the adorable pooch carry her handbag while they chat with Massey.
The very moment was captured on camera as the Queen casually shows amused smile at the pooch, while the canine proudly carries her purse. The photo was even used as a Christmas card by Massey and has been auctioned off.
While there is only one picture displaying this rare moment, it is said that there are other images from that visit showing the bond between the queen and the dog. This pooch is undoubtedly one of the luckiest canines which had the rare chance of spending some time with the Queen.
