Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, is an American activist and politician. At a young age of 29, she became a representative in the United States Congress’, the youngest female representative in the US history.

AOC drew national recognition for winning the primary election of the Democratic Party. She defeated Joey Crowley, the Democratic Caucus Chair and ten-term incumbent congressman. She also beat Anthony Pappas during the general election back in November 2018.

Recently, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez got the internet abuzz again when she was “ambushed” by one of her constituents. The culprit? A bulldog named Charlie from Parkchester. Apparently, this overly excited dog is AOC’s constituent.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was in a conference call in one of the streets of the Bronx when Charlie decided to hop in and show her some love. Charlie was all over the lady representative, enthusiastically hugging and licking her face. Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tried to resist Charlie’s imposing hugs and kisses but he was too adorably adamant. He wouldn’t let go of her.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tried to explain to the persistent dog that she’s in a conference call. However, because Charlie seemed so determined, all the lady representative could do was laugh. She even ended up lying on the ground.

Simone Norman, a comedienne who worked on Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign last year, shared the video on Twitter. She jokingly captioned the tweet with an apology to the lady representative because she was laughing instead of helping her out. The clip has since gained the attention of thousands of netizens worldwide. AOC herself also shared the video and captioned it “Snuggle ambush in the Bronx while I was on a conference call.”

Well, whoever was on the other line would surely understand Charlie’s excitement at meeting Rep. Ocasio-Cortez. She’s quite a busy person so Charlie might not see her soon enough. So, why not grab the chance?
