It must be a blessing that Sasha, a young Pit Bull around eight months old, was outdoors near their house in Stockton, California, last June 3. If not, no one would have known right away that their home is already blazing with fire. The sad part is that Nana Chaichanhda, Sasha’s foster mom and her child were inside the house.

Sasha, being usually alert and active, immediately leaped and went inside to notify Nana of what is going on. The blazing fire later on damaged almost the entire four-door property, just right before Sasha rescuing her family. It could have been worse had Sasha did not notice the incident right away.

Nana, later on, posted her story online through the GoFundMe website. She was seeking help like cash donations, so she can start reestablishing her family’s life after the tragical event. She recalled how devastating that incident was.

Based on her description of the incident, the houses of their neighbors were utterly devastated by the fire, while it was also escalating fast in her home. She then realized that Sasha was barking hard to call her attention.

She went to pick up her baby who was in the room that time when she saw her puppy already tugging her baby along. They immediately went out of the house and were also able to call emergency services as soon as they got out.

Minutes later, firefighters arrived in the area, ensuring that everyone is safe. Nana will be forever thankful for her dog. She also wants her story to serve as a wakeup call for people who have a not-so-good impression about pit bulls. They are adorable and loving dogs in reality.
