As they are talented enough, dogs can be taught different functions at home. They can babysit a child, guard the house, or even do some basic house chores like cleaning their mess.
In an interesting twist of fate, however, this dog did what could be an extraordinary thing to accomplish.
In a cold February night, a Wisconsin officer was doing his usual roving in the community he was assigned to when a black Labrador dog appeared before him barking profusely.
Officer Jeff Gonzalez said that he saw the dog running towards his direction and was crying heavily but was harmless. The officer taught the dog was stray and was lost from his owner, but when he saw the dog tag, Gonzalez taught otherwise.
The pooch was clearly in distress as he continued barking towards a certain direction. The officer was then inside his car trying to determine what the message of the dog was. Gonzalez shared that he rolled down his car window and the dog wagged his tail and began to be friendlier.
The police officer got off his car, but the dog ran a little. Gonzalez followed the trail of the dog to figure out what was happening. A few moments later, the pooch led the police officer to his owner’s house, where the officer saw the owner unconscious on the floor.
The dog was sending Gonzalez a clear message to help his owner. At first, the officer taught the woman, later known as Krystal Wendt, was already dead because Krystal was very cold when the officer touched her.
Quick on his toes, the officer did first aid when the woman’s daughter arrived. They rushed Krystal to the hospital, and thankfully the woman miraculously survived.
If not for the dog’s quick response over the incident, the woman could have ended dead. This shows how smart and loyal a dog is.
