Some people naturally have good hearts in them that they are willing to take care of others without asking for anything in return. A good example is Rico Soegiarto of Indonesia. He is a natural animal lover and is considered a hero for what he has done.
In June 2017, Rico saved a husky from severe malnourishment. He found the dog on the road, and he stopped to help the poor creature.
Rico took the dog home and the journey of saving her started. By its look, the dog needed treatment and care. He posted the dog’s picture on his Instagram with the caption, “Homeless dog. I’ll do my best to rescue you, poor baby.”
When Rico took the dog, her body was full of sores, and her fur was falling out. She was very thin that she couldn’t stand properly.
Rico named him “Hope.” The first thing he did was to wash the dog. Once he was cleaned, he brought Hope to the vet to be examined and treated.

He took care of her, fed her properly and even groomed her. Rico provided everything that Hope needed to recover. In an interview with Bored Panda, Rico said that Hope loves eating cookies.
The dog improved quickly, thanks to Rico’s pure love and care. Ten months later, no one would believe that Hope was once skinny and malnourished.

Rico posted Hope’s picture on Instagram again ten months after he saved her. His post received thousands of heartwarming comments. Anyone will be amazed by how the dog transformed in a short period.
Rico’s compassion and hard work made a big impact on Hope. He has a big heart; a heart that every animal needs. He is an inspiration to everyone!
