Motherhood is a very crucial stage for every female. It’s a life-changing phase; you get to know your hidden strengths and how far you will go for the sake of your children.
Maternal instinct is not only observed in humans but with animals as well, especially with dogs.
Rainbow is Pitbull who used to be a stray dog wandering in a neighborhood at Southern California. For the last three months, the residents made so many attempts to rescue the unfortunate pup. But, she is so smart and cunning that she’s able to get away with every chase.
Alas, a very unfortunate disaster came upon, one of the worst and destructive storm to ever hit the area. During the terrible weather, Rainbow gave birth to eight bouncing puppies. They took shelter in a makeshift, insubstantial den near the bushes.
A good citizen who felt concerned with the Pitbull and her newborn pups called Hope for Paws, a local animal rescue center near the area. As soon as they got informed, without hesitation, they took the initiative to act as quickly as possible.
Since they searched during the middle of the terrifying storm, it took the team about three and a half hours to locate the vulnerable dogs. The most challenging part was how to evacuate the family without making unnecessary stress to the mother and the puppies. Rainbow seemed to be very protective of her young ones; she was on guard at all times.
First, they made sure to establish a connection to the mom by giving her treats and foods as well as touching her. One by one, they took the puppies from Rainbow. With all wonders, she was well-behaved, she might have known they were heading to safety.
Now, Rainbow with her eight adorable and healthy puppies, Flash, Bolt, Stormy, Droplet, Thunder, Breezy, Misty, Raindrop are staying in the shelter waiting to get adopted.
